With a deep specialization in the meetings and conventions segment, my career has focused on driving Mexico's presence and brand recognition within the global tourism industry. Over the years, I have played a pivotal role in the promotion of Mexico and Mexico City as prime destinations for international conferences and conventions, strategically positioning them in the global marketplace.

Capturing Major International Congresses and Conventions

Throughout my tenure in tourism promotion, I was actively involved in Mexico's bid to host prestigious international congresses and conventions. I collaborated closely with industry stakeholders to develop competitive bids that highlighted Mexico's unique appeal as a destination for large-scale meetings. These efforts not only showcased Mexico’s world-class facilities but also helped to secure high-profile events that significantly boosted the country's international visibility and economic impact in the meetings industry.

Promoting Mexico and Mexico City at Premier Global Events

As the lead responsible for Mexico’s and Mexico City's brand presence at some of the most prestigious events in the international meetings and tourism industry, I managed high-level promotional strategies at global events, including IMEX America, IBTM Americas, IMEX Frankfurt, FITUR, and the Tianguis Turístico. These platforms provided invaluable opportunities to position both Mexico and Mexico City as top destinations for business tourism, enabling us to engage with global decision-makers and secure high-value leads.

One of my most notable achievements was leading the logistics and branding efforts for the Mexico City Pavilion at the 47th Tianguis Turístico in 2023. This was the largest pavilion in the history of the Tianguis, featuring over 150 exhibitors from a variety of sectors. I managed the pavilion’s strategic planning, execution, and promotion, ensuring a seamless experience for both exhibitors and attendees. For my dedication and leadership in this event, I received a formal recognition from the Secretariat of Tourism of Mexico City, which highlighted the impact of my efforts in reinforcing the city’s presence on the international stage.

Integrated Promotion for Events Hosted in Mexico

In addition to representing Mexico internationally, I was also responsible for promoting events held within the country. From international conferences to specialized conventions, I worked diligently to ensure that Mexico’s hosting capabilities were showcased to the fullest. My role involved coordinating integrated marketing campaigns across various digital and traditional channels, ensuring that each event received maximum visibility and engagement from the target audience. These efforts were key in positioning Mexico as a leading destination for the meetings industry, driving both attendance and international recognition.
